| I find it kind of humorous that Alton's primary Ameritech central office can't even keep a working pay phone out in front of their building. This pay phone stand has been empty for as long as I can remember. How hard would it be for them to stick a pay phone in there? Or why don't they just take the stand down? And why don't they replace their Illinois Bell Parking sign with one that says Ameritech since the name change happened almost 10 years ago?? |

There isn't a phone number listed on this pay phone at the Phillips 66 station on College & Washington. Check out the Kerr Drugs in the background which was recently forced out of business by the new Walgreens and CVS buildings across the street. |
