So, Murd0c has got an experiment going on electronic music, called 2Gat123. He IM'ed me (I guess I'm getting popular) demanding that I review him.

Track 1. STOP PAUSE PLAY - So, when this starts, and the main synth line comes in, take a moment and think of what this sounds like. You know that really fucking annoying "duh duh duh duh duh, HEY!, duh duh duh" song they play at football games? So that's pretty much it. It sounds like you just took 4 fucking lines and randomly started and stopped them, occasionally matching up well enough to trick me into thinking you wrote music. Way to go.
Track 2. Remember Lot's Wife - Hmm... we're starting out with a slow drum groove. i'm liking the 7 bar phrase structure in the beginning. For a moment, I was tricked into thinking this had some real potential. You know, that murd0c was settling into some sweet lo-fi groove. Then FUCK. He tricks me. He made me think for a moment that he was going to run a song from start to finish that made me think he knew how to write a song. Redeeming factor: The little synth line at the end is pretty sweet. Anyway. There's one more track, if you can stand it. it's called Total Information something. Myspace never scrolled over, and Murd0c never bothered to tell me when I implied I didn't get the whole name. It sounds like he's finally settling into something, or at least learning his sequencer, but it's definitely missing SOMETHING, like a vocal line, or some grind drums, or an analog "rave" synth over it. Maybe I've just been listening to too much MSI again.
So, there you have it. Murd0c, you still need to do your fucking homework, learn your software, get your ducks in a row, and all that semi-inspirational shit. Every one of your songs started and ended the same, and the only difference between them was the amount of coherence. Either lay off the fucking drugs or quit trying to be a revolutionary.
