Sorry. My 21st birthday lasted nearly a week.

The first 5 seconds rocked. I don't like your backbeats very much in the first minute. After the 1' mark, things definately got more interesting, but where's the consistancy?
1'40" - No... not so much. At least, not after what preceeded it.

I'm going to stop giving minute markings because I'm lazy and I have one over-riding theme. You have enough material here for 5, maybe 6 decent songs. I see the idea you're going for with the theme and interlude. Segment one (the first minute) did not work for me. I love harmony in seconds and other dissonances, but I think that your voicing is a little too thick and spastic. You use a wide variety of instruments that don't necessarily work together as they should.
The second segment and the end of the third could each be songs of their own. I love the low, grindy bass and the minimalist drums. It has a very bleak, industrial feel to it.

In my opinion, I would cut the crap out, focus on one or two driving ideas, and making a song out of that. When you have too much going on at once it's going to scare and confuse the listener, especially if it doesn't come back in some substantial way.

Your editing/production skills have improved, though, or at least it sounds like they have. Keep up the... erm... good work.

Hey! I think it sounds great!  I think it has a cool zombi/Ennio Morricone feel to it, very random with the instruments like Marricone did, very good Murd0c.  minus the industrial aspect listed in the previous review, that is just a bonus.

I'LL LISTEN, DAMNIT. I really just haven't had time to be online, what with class and upcoming performances and all.

I d/l'ed it, though, and I'll try to give it a listen tonight.

You're just too damn demanding. I don't think this sounds bad at all.

My initial impression is ".... trippy". I'll give you more in-depth comments soon, but I've been busy with class.

alright - comments are overdue. Sorry bout that.

1) This seriously sounds like electronic music geared towards fans of 20th century classical music. You have almost no regard for vertical sonority, and the complete focus is instead on individual melodic lines. Though you may make a few enemies from this, I personally love it.
2) Good use of "color". All of your instruments contrast with each other, but work well enough together to sort of blend. I would consider having instruments that only double other synths for additional color.
3) What is your focus area? Where is the one point of the piece (song) that you're building up to? Where is the climax? This lack of climax is what makes so many of the bubblegum pop or cookie-cutter rock bands so infuriating to listen to; because none of the songs go anywhere, they all just blend together. You have some great ideas, but they don't really lead anywhere, you know?
4) Good use of "limited" material. You focus on one or two key ideas throughout the song, which works well. I wonder, though, if you can change notes here and there so there isn't such a literal repetition, and give the song a feeling of development (see no. 3). This is probably a no-no for "techno" music, but that's part of the reason I can't listen to it.

I know you didn't ask my opinion (I'm a musician too damn it!) but I'm going to give it anyways.

1st one: I agree with Matt about the beginning and would like to add that there were places where you were just a little bit off beat. Once it got past that though it was great. There were several parts I would love to take samples from.

2nd one: Can I use this? Seriously. I don't know what sound you were going for but I do know that this is an excellent hip hop beat. I could drop a victory track type verse on this (Since there's no discernable hook.) with a couple of days of writing or just freestyling over it. This is the best of the three.

3rd one:  Same as the second one except for the best of the three part.

I like the sound settings. The drums sound extremely low-fi, the synths are whiny and have bad low-pass. I like the drums and how you play with them. I'm not as crazy about your melodic hooks, but that's mainly because it REALLY needs something on top of it.

Don't listen to this with your shotgun in your lap. You'll keep spinning around trying to shoot zombies in the face.

Thank you for unkilling this thread, or whatever. I listened to PSA and enjoyed it. If Arbie picks up the radio show I started recording, then episode 2 features this track, as well as 208th st station.
