And why exactly were my karma points subtracted after I posted this? Heh, that is a bit immature, as I wasn't even disagreeing with anyone. I was simply pointing out my opinions and views Smiley.

you dont even know me. i havent touched your karma.

I know. I wasn't directing that to you :). Was just wondering.

Don't sweat it so much, dude.  Even RBCP has -25 Karma points as of this posting.  Some people are just assholes.

I'm not too bright but the real-time shit does sound like BS.  I agree the SIM wouldn't matter.  Real time, hmm...I'd say it's an employee shadowing in from the OS tech support, except it would still be logged.  Fuck.  Bluetooth doesn't go further than like 25 feet, right?  So she has a secret admirer; otherwise I'd say her story sounds like a finger in the chili.

used sim's before on ebay. used as in cloned.
Ah, not that it says 'cloned.'  Going shopping now.  On company time.

I think this is just a case of reverse engineering. S/He probably just found a way to crack whatever OS protection that phone might have had and got the source for the phone's OS. After browseing through it for awhile s/he could have stumbled onto some sort of remote help optinon. This lady was probably just chosen at random because she had that phone, and she made a big enough deal about it to make the news. Or maybe the story is to cover something up. Maybe the phone became consicence of itself and then became autonomous. The hacker story was just to cover up that our phones are thinking....

Or maybe I'm just plain fucking wrong. *monkey*

(I wonder what model phone she was using, BTW)

Sorry to bring up an old post, but the picture of the crazy lady shows a Razr on her desk. I would assume that's the phone in question. Anyone know anything about the OS in Cingular's Razr models?
