How's WinXP Black working for ya?  I D/L'ed it a while back and I'm waiting until I need to reformat to try it out.

I've used it, too. I've seen torrents for both XP Black and BlackXP. Judging by the programs packaged with them (for CD versions) they're either from different packagers or just reflect a major change between releases.

BlackXP - Uses Windowblinds for the Vista Aeroglass theme and comes packaged with tons of programs. They make both a CD and DVD release. It's also a cracked version of XP.
XP Black - Is an OEM/Student liscense of XP, so there are NO cracks applied other than the unattended install and slipstreamed programs. It uses nextstep (optional) for a slick, vista-esque theme with sidebar and quicklaunch tools. Without that program, though, it still has some pretty nice system themes that change the layout very well without using any extra system resources (which is nice because NextStep is a memory hog).

Both systems are fine with Windows update and pass Windows Genuine test.
If you're using an older computer and you either A) don't need the extra software B) Don't care if your system looks like Vista or not or C) Prefer to use open licenses over hacked programs, then you should probably choose XP Black. Also, it seems to run a bit better on older systems (once you remove NextStep from the boot processes.)

We've got this guy Trevelyn who's pretty handy with Vista if you've got any questions with that.

Windows Vista raped my mother, ate my father, and yelled "really really loud" at my cat, scaring him and making him pee on the carpet  :'(

I like how you put quotes around really really loud. Are you quoting yourself? Is really really loud ironic?
Perhaps "really really loud" is the title of something, like a book maybe? Did Windows Vista yell an entire book at your cat?

Yeah, okay you fuck.  Naw, I have been using the XP box a lot lately.  I have learned a great deal about it.  My login for it is "victimloser" and i usually log in from a spawned administrator command prompt from an Server Message Block exploit.  I am getting interviewed for a position soon at a university were I would be fixing windows machines regisrty hives and stuff.. cleaning them up after some professor looked at pr0n instead of his electron microscope.  Yeah, so I had to learn that shit as fast as possible and have been cramming for this interview...

I use gutsy, pc-bsd, freeBSD, solaris 8, kate os, dream linux, and now XP.

yeah, it was mostly to be ironic. I'm not quite sure why the quotes were necessary, but in my mind they were, dammit.
