From what I heard, you have to buy early. The earlier the cheaper. As they go through the stash of tickets, the price goes up. Its like a bidding war.

According to Wikipedia: "February 15-17, 2008: The event sold out in 30 seconds for general admission and another 10 minutes for the ILoveShmoo cons entering 2008 on January 1 at over 1200 attendees"

Although, I don't know what the ILoveShmoo cons are. Can someone please explain?
