It's one of those publishers that just copies text from wikipedia and turns it into a book.  PLA has been in several of these now, but this is the first one that's gotten the main title.  Wonder how much money they make from these.  Even if it were a real book, it's a really horrible deal - £30.00 ($48.00) for just 92 pages.

Wow, I've never heard of that before. I can't believe people would actually buy something like that, but I guess there's a lot of stupid people out there. I was also noticing the price before actually looking at the details of what the book is, and thought it was ridiculously high

Didn't a company try to do this to you in like 1998? And it was just crappy print offs of your site with the frames included? Tell us that story again.

You're probably thinking of the incident from this page: http://www.phonelosers.org/screw/

It was some guy selling print outs of text files and at least one of their prints was an exact copy from phonelosers.org.  There was no actual book involved, though.

That is the same thing I thought after reading the real PLA book. WTF I already read it on the website, good refresher thou and price was not bad at all.

The used copies are being sold by the people who already own the book. They bought it cheap and wants to sell high. Kind of the like the stock market.

The regular PLA book has sellers like that too.  The highest one is $19 right now, just in case $12 is too cheap for you.

Actually I'm pretty sure the one that's selling for $19 is an unfinished proof of the book that I accidentally made available a couple months before the book was released.  So you'd be paying extra money for not as much book.
