WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) - October 18, 2011 (WPVI) -- Where do pay phones go to die?

The basement of Interwest Communications in Washington state.

The company is a leading pay phone vendor in the region.

But now there are rows of the dented and damaged phones in the company's cellar.

The pay phone is a dying technology, pushed aside pay cell phones.

Company officials tell a local paper pay phones just don't make enough money for many of their customers.
