RBCP & Murd0c broadcast this episode from inside of a dumpster outside a Missouri movie theater, hoping to answer phone calls via the theater's phone box that they've tapped into. They succeed, but are thrown into jail for a few months, pending trial. The involuntary manslaughter charges are dropped, but the phone calls are still hilarious. In this episode you'll hear the best of our movie theater prank calls. You'll also hear the song Guilty Deter which was parodied by RBCP and performed by Rob T. Firefly. You'll also hear Rob's remix of one of the theater pranks and an ad from our old Switch campaign.

03/09/06 - rbcp from oregon: I originally planned to actually have the entire broadcast appear to be from the dumpster. But with the shitty sound quality of the calls, I couldn't pull it off. So I had to do a little differently. I wanted to have the show end with us being surrounded by cops. Oh well... And yeah, I always sound bored to tears, even in real life.
03/09/06 - MegaKitsune from nowhere in particular: This was OK, it was just all the old movie theater calls (with some new great ones), and that HILARIOUS rap...the whole dumpster story thing wouldn've been pretty funny, but RBCP, you need to get more enthusiastic man, it sounds like you're bored to tears or something! Have some fun with it, make it sound natural, other than that, good work, and I'm looking forward to the next episodes.

i loved these calls. Espicially the RTFirefly remix. In our community, the building for our theatre is old enough that they got lazy and forgot to move the TNI box. We got bored of that so we changed the recording of the Theatre line.

I've decided to move all dumpster related discussion to this thread. My point being before (about fourm users thinking RBCP and Murd0c recorded the calls from inside a dumpster, as RBCP comically states) If your going to sign up for the forums, atleast know a little PLA history.

I listened to this episode the other day and thought the movie theater calls were hilarious. The one where the angry mom calls back and tells them that its illegal to ask for someone's SSN had me laughing hard. Good job!!!

I was going through an old text file tonight of PLA Radio notes, and found this script I wrote for the movie theater episode. Originally, it was going to be a hostage drama but I got lazy and just threw together the episode in one night instead. Here's the original version...
This is a story of some extraordinarily boring events that once took place in a midwest movie theater. The story begins on a chilly autumn afternoon as RBCP and his homosexual, yet platonic, friend murd0c are out for a stroll and decide to see a movie.
MURD0C: Two for Brokeback Mountain please
TICKET LADY: That'll be $14.50
Everything was going as it normally would until RBCP ordered a popcorn and two drinks at the concession stand. This is when things began to take a turn for the worst...
CONCESSION GIRL: Okay, your total comes to $16.25
RBCP: There must be some mistake. It's just popcorn and Pepsi.
CONCESSION GIRL: Uhh, no sir. It's $16.25 for the special.
RBCP: But...it's popcorn and Pepsi. It can't cost more than $2.00 to produce this stuff. How can you justify an 800% markup? That's just insane. What kind of a movie theater is this???
CONCESSION GIRL: I don't make the prices. Please, just pay so I can help the next person.
RBCP: Oh, so that's how it's going to be, is it? *pulls out a gun*
