Title: Fred Meyer - Phones

Every fred meyer in the entire chain now has "page" buttons on each phone in the entire store.

What they do not have is a way to know where it's comming from.
so if you're not seen by a camera, you're good, for several minutes.

I've had battles with management over the intercom more than once.  ;D

The code in most Fred Meyer stores these days is 1810.  So you can always do that instead of the page button if you want.  But it's nice that they're providing fun for people that don't know that.

I was in Fred Meyer yesterday getting groceries and I tried to get on remotely.  But nobody was willing to transfer me remotely.  I tried several different departments while I was there.  I doubt it would have worked anyway.  Last year Heywood and I called a phone in a department that we were standing in and tried to transfer the call to 1810 ourselves but it wouldn't work.  But we might have been doing it wrong.
