I have to write a historical fiction story today. What time period should I do? Can't be the 1990s. I'm not asking you to write it, I just can't figure out when it should be. Ugh. I hate writing fiction.

Thanks for the ideas, but seeing as I have to fill out a sheet on my story and write 4-8 pages on it by 7:00 tomorrow morning, I think I'll just do a story about the slave from this story (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyddie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyddie)) we read in school. I hated that book so much, but it'll be easy to write about a pre-made character.
