I am going to spend a week in Boston very soon
In the little spare free time I will have there - what is the main attractions that we should visit there?
Excuse the lack of punctuation
In my arcade madness - 4 of my keyboard keys quit working - the damn left arrow - and the period and comma
The PLA arcade killed my keyboard

go to Jamaica Plain and eat at the Purple Cactus

Say hello to the Dropkick Mruphys ;D

Keep a lookout for terrorists. There's a lot of them in Boston, placing LED signs all over the place.

Dear Telcogal,
I was actually in Boston last weekend. I got a last minute room at the Radisson in downtown Boston via priceline.com for a very reasonable price and it was awesome. I highly recommend the Radisson downtown there.
As for stuff to do... if you don't mind walking, the Freedom Trail (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_Trail (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_Trail)) is a nice way to get around Boston on a nice day. It was pretty chilly there last weekend, but I am sure the weather is going to be fantastic there soon.
For shopping and some fun street entertainers (and there's a Cheers there... I forget if it's the one that they filmed at or the one it was based on) go to Quincy Market.
I went to the Aquarium... not particularly amazing.
Some good food in Chinatown. I recommend Pho Pasteur.
Also, while I haven't done it, I hear that bowling in Boston is awesome. Like they use weird wooden pins or something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candlepin_bowling here's a link!
Have a great time!
Love,
jammie

"The exterior location shots of the bar were actually of the Bull & Finch Pub, north of Boston Common, which has become a tourist attraction because of its association with the series and draws in nearly a million visitors annually. It has since been renamed Cheers Beacon Hill, though its interior is different from the TV bar. To further capitalize on the show's popularity, another bar, Cheers Faneuil Hall, was built to be a replica of the show's set to provide tourists with a bar whose interior was closer to the one they saw on TV. It is near Faneuil Hall, about a mile from the Bull & Finch Pub. The official Cheers site is http://www.cheersboston.com (http://www.cheersboston.com) which features a new online store. In 1997 Europe's first officially licensed Cheers bar opened in London's Regent's Street W1. Like Cheers Faneuil Hall, Cheers London is an exact replica of the set. The gala opening was attended by James Burrows and cast members George Wendt and John Ratzenberger. The actual bar set is now on permanent display at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum."
