It's kinda late, but what was with the cellular phone hacking in the Live Free or Die Hard? Can you actually do that? Would it work if other cellphones had been knocked out? Is it illegal?

Sorry I'm kinda late, but I only saw it yesterday. I thought it was awesome. The best part was Kevin Smith. I was so happy he was in it.
As for you question... I think it's safe to assume that most of the stuff in the movie is BS. From the computer stuff to the government stuff to the OMFG HE'S ON AN UNMANNED JET stuff. It made for lots of good action and entertainment though, which is admirable considering how much haxing was in the movie.
