I'm not sure if anyone here is a fan of Daft Punk, but for those who don't know they're a couple of Parisian making techno and making it damn well. Their last album, Human After All was not a high point of their career. The album didn't seem quite finished, at least not to me. Their latest album Alive 2007, frankly brings almost nothing new. That being said it is an amazing album. The album is live remixes of songs from their 2007 world tour. The remixes are fantastic and fairly well recorded at least from what I've heard.

The music videos aren't really the music videos we see now a days; They're more like what the name 'music video' suggests than what most videos are. For instance for their remix of Harder Better Faster Stronger they gave fans 250 cameras to film the concert with, so they're a lot of interesting shots of the seizure-inducing light show.

Just a note this isn't a review really; the full album has been released yet, so I can't really judge. I was wondering if any of you guys had heard their new album and what you though of Daft Punk in general.

I <3 Daft Punk. I haven't had a chance to check out the "new album", but I'm glad that you can give it a positive word.

Yeah Daft Punk is awesome. I think it would be cool to see them live. From what I've seen from the videos on youtube, it looks like they put on one hell of a show.

Hey if any of you guys really like 2 step garage music check out 01-global_underground_32_mexico_city_cd1 ~2
by Adam Freeland, it's very "Discovery"ish from Daft Punk.  <3 Garage music, and sample electro.
