Hey,
About a month and a half ago I came accross this a very strange dynamic test message while war dialing, telling me something about voltage level. Today I was outside and I wanted to see if it still works. I call with a pay phone and I hear the same recording. I hang up and my money comes back. I think to my self "Wow, that's really neat!" I call again with a different payphone, except this time at the end of the call I can't get my money back. They were both Verizon payphones. What's up with this? Why was the supervision of the second call different?

I don't think I'll be giving that out publically ;). Was just curious if anyone knew.

Yes, I am. But I've made that mistake before and had to pay the consequences :-\.
[edit] I've tried it with a few others. That one pay phone is still the only one that doesn't supervise.

Was this in NYC?

We need more info. Did you hang up later the second time than you did the first time?
Is the number a local number for you? Was the first payphone served by the same switch as the payphone?
