404

I didn't get the 404, the pdf looks pretty decent(I've only skimmed it thus far). I'll definitely read it when I'm in the crapper later. Nice post!

I read the whole thing and learned a bunch of stuff I didn't know, and also started understanding stuff I thought I knew. Thanks for the PDF ;D

whoa, that was a cool comment.. makes me feel like my weekend wasn't wasted. :) the only guy who finally contributed was the guy from the 2600 article i referenced Ed. But I bet theres a lot more we could add to it, i am keeping the original open for amendments.
thanks <3

Good read! After you get it all done you should submit it to 2600 to get it published. :)

i thought of 2 things, you could always use a sniffer like tcpdump or wireshark to get the locations.
also, I can get any movie i want from IGN you think its worth putting that in as another example?

okay - by request I did Veoh's Videos. The shitty site that says you MUST download their shitty scumware filled garbage to play the videos back locally.

This is also a good example on how to get stuff from your disk cache, it's not to just show you how to download and cheat the Veoh website, it's to "teach a man to fish" type deal.
so, play around with other sites this way too. try all the methods involved you would be surprised at the crap you will find!! I found a hidden Unix folder/broken MIME type on a messed up Apache server owned by Nintendo once!
- cheers - Trevelyn.
