Title: New here, Question about NID/Landline hacking

Hey everyone, I figured I'd introduce myself at a later time, I just need to know something.

I'm tired of getting ripped off for shitty phone service from Verizon. Although, I can't find much about the "other side" of the NID. Is there any way to hack a phone line? Just wondering. And if there is, how do you not get caught.
