;D I was asking around the internet of what hard liquor /drinks to try. I also wondering what laws to watch out for ...as in where to be and not to be....The plane ride of 8 hours is going to be the most annoying part - No Ipod can last that long either. I need some input..... :-X

that sounds like a job for a beer board...or a music board...unless you're asking about putting 6.5536 mHz crystals in the Airfones, this is the wrong place.

Real men drink antifreeze.

Take the ferry to Malta.

My advice:
Bring a laptop/portable DVD player on the plane ride to substitute for when your ipod dies.
Don't make fun of the locals because their country looks like a boot. They probably wouldn't like that.
If you're gonna commit a crime, go to Sweden and do it. Maximum sentence is 10 years and most murderers don't even get that. Plus the prisons are fantastic--they're like mini-apartments.
Oh, and have fun ;D

Ask them if the trains still run on time for me.

No matter how "cultural" it makes you feel, don't try using bastardized Italian to converse/order food unless you can't be understood speaking English. If you feel you must use Italian, make sure it sounds Italian and not Spanish. That's an easy way to get your ass kicked.
Don't order spaghetti. Spaghetti is for idiot tourists. You're not an idiot tourist.
As for alcohol, your best bet is just asking people at restaurants for local favorites. I can't think of any Italian hard liquors, but there are many small vineyards, and you will have a decent sampling of European beer.

An interesting sidenote, according to some reports a person dying from drinking antifreeze appears merely intoxicated up til the point when they die.

I don't live in Italy anymore. Shit was so lame.

The strings of Italian politics have been pulled by foreign interests for centuries, such as the American CIA in the 20th Century.
