I just bought a new laptop (actually, my mommy bought it for me ;D) and I need to know if it would be possible to copy the music files from my PC and put them on my laptop without using a flashdrive? The problem is, the only flashdrive I have is for my Nintendo DS and it only holds 6 megs at a time. And I want to move thousands of songs. That's going to take forever, unless perhaps there's an easier way that you guys know about. I would much prefer a wireless methood, but that's just wishful thinking.
Any help here?

I can assume you've now got Vista? I'm sorry. I'll be sending flowers shortly.
After that, are you on a router? Just set up the box with all the illegally downloaded songs so that it shares them on the network, transfer from there.

Buy an external hard drive, use it to transfer everything, then return it.

ftp

Ftp ftw...although arby's idea has a certain classiness to it.

Make sure you keep the harddrive and fill the box with soda cans.

Or at least fill the hard drive with PLA stuff before you return it.

You can also use a serial cable to transfer everything, but that usually requires additional software. Transferring over the LAN or FTP are really your best options, but you really should have an external HDD to use as a system backup tool anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions and replies, everyone. I'm seriously going to try to use/do them all. Anyway, I went ahead and bought a 500 GB external hard drive, which was totally more than I needed but they scam you into it. I mean, seriously, a 300GB hard drive was $80 and a 500 GB one was $90. Stupid con artists, they knew you would have no choice but to chose the more expensive one! But I digress...
So I'm probably going to keep it, because like MattGSX said, I really should have one just in case. As to whether or not I'll try to gut it, fill the empty shell (with soda cans and PLA stuff of course), and take it back: I seriously doubt I have the balls. How much trouble could I get in?
Anyway, thanks again my home skillets.

Did you pay for it with a credit or debit card, a check maybe? If not then you're in the clear. I'd just advise against shopping there in the near future.
