Most Online Ever: 245 (August 09, 2008, 09:40:29 PM)
what the fuck was going on that night? was it cuz people thought the world was going to end?!
-
Didn't Cal's have a record of something like 400 some people on line at once?
-
cal.phonelosers.org (http://cal.phonelosers.org/) shows that the most ever online was 265. I don't know what was up with our huge surge from this week. On August 9th there was no surge in the traffic on the rest of phonelosers.org. In fact, it was lower that day than the previous 2 days. Googlebots maybe? Someone trying to DoS attack?
-
WTF Cal's is back up?
Oh nevermind.
-
That probably would have been pretty chaotic, though. 250+ people talking at the same time.
Oh, and speaking of Googlebots, I took this screenshot a while back:

googlebots typically don't register.
they can't get past the CAPTCHA

i googled it.I think i saw it when i was a baby, but that was a long time ago.Its not like i watch stupid kids cartoons.

I don't think I've ever actually seen it, but I get the reference and understand why that comic is hilarious.

The other day I heard that apparently spammers are linking directly to CAPTCHAs on target sites then offering free porn, all you have to do is enter the CAPTCHA on their page.
-
They've been doing that for quite a while.

I do admire the devious and simple yet effective nature of the idea, as annoying as it is when bots show up.
-
I like it too. I remember rbcp writing somewhere once about setting up a phony kiddie porn site that activates a form on a different site to place an annoying phone call. Not captchas, but the same general idea.
-
I think that was in upl where rbcp modified messageblaser.coms html
