Title: WeakNet Linux - Assistant
Post by: trevelyn on October 10, 2008, 09:22:54 PM
well, it's almost done, WeakNet Linux Is Almost Here!  I found a Host to host it too, I will upload it Sunday Morning, there are a few modifications I want to do first.  But I used Ubuntu to make people happy.  Ubuntu seems damn easy to use, and well, everytime i have bashed it either kidding or nay, everyone stood up for it.  heh, Perlwd will be released at the same time, but for now, here you can see a preview of what I have been doing:

http://weaknetlabs.com/linux/

and

http://weaknetlabs.com/code/perlwd/

Leave comments if you can! - Trevelyn.

The only reason I stand up for Ubuntu currently is because it is my current OS of choice. So many flavors; I'm just trying to find the right one.

Other wise Ubuntu can piss up a flag pole for its current tidal wave of difficulty it has released upon me. Though it has been almost two weeks since its last major malfunction.

Yay.

This is getting kinda crazy, im getting phone calls about it, heh people are excited for it?! I wonder, should I submit it to distrowatch? turns out that I actually can host the ISO, if less that 1000 people dl it a month, So, tomorrow evening, get it , try it, and lets work together to make changes, adjustments, etc.

0.9.6 will be out tomorrow, there will be one more BETA release before 1.0 final.

I tried to have it out tonight, but i am overdoing it, and need sleep.

I am asking for help on some stuff from you guys, if you don't mind. (credits will be given where applicable)  I Now have an Apache2 server set up to run (but not auto start) and it comes up with a simple html that says "hey apache2 is working" and has 2 links, one to weaknetlabs one to a simple phisher i made up in a few seconds, but not sure if i made it right :S
I want to come up with a cool ass page that has all kinda html options about phishing, pharming, XSS, hacking etc
Like an MSFWeb but for WebPages and forums and stuff.  So, can you guys send me some stuff, (basic html or php or whatever) that i could include in the cool-webh4x0ring-page-thinggy that Apache2 opens up?  Tully and Altalp, you're really good with this stuff, email me or AIM me! Anyone!

##################
0.9.6 additions:

I offer nothing.

no way, you guys can all help! :D

ew, so apache2 doesnt work well with a livecd.  :(  It like takes a dump if the html is bigger than 256B, My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself.  I asked around on the ubuntu forums, but no one knew about that.  So i removed it from the live cd, it will be gone from v0.9.8 If you do install apache2 install libapache2-mod-php5 also and you can use the cool php phishing scripts i used in the last video i posted.  I left all the scripts and html files in the /var/www directory & apt-get shouldn't overwrite them, so yeah, to use em install it. all of it.
If anyone gets a chance, try out the cmd.exe emulator i wrote, i forgot to mention it in the package list.  Oh, yeah, i have to make one of those too.

The Usplash.so has finally changed from that ugly ass Ubuntu one to one that shows a She-Bang in a cool spikey bubble and is verbose underneath.  It looks sexy ;) i admit.  That will be in release 0.9.8 as well.

I added irssi, and a menu item to start irssi and join you up with efnet and #lunatics to talk sex.

I am trying to push myself hard enough to make a bad as version 1.0 by December.  but, it's interfering with my night-clubbing and all, heh. sike.

The easy-SSHd script i wrote makes starting the ssh server on any port of your choice easy.

EXIM4 does not set itself up, so you have to run the "Start Email Server" from the "Security" menu.  Easy as pie.  I wonder if you can spoof emails with exim4 under the "internet site" configuration ??? iunno, something to think about.

Anyways that's it for an update, i wouldn't really bother with the 0.9.6 iso. 0.9.8 will be out next month and version 1.0 STABLE will be out by or in December. yay.

How about just apache? Apache 1.3 would still be useful.

Also, you should include dnsmasq. It can be used in DNS spoofing attacks, among other things.

Post by: trevelyn on October 20, 2008, 12:28:29 PM
Godot: ... you rock.  Can you help me with it? i will add dnsmasq to the v0.9.8 thanks for the heads up.

I finally ls'ed $PATH and created a sort -u txt file: (package list)
http://weaknetlabs.com/linux/download/releases/package-list-v0.9.6.txt

if i am missing anything, let me know i'll stick it into the next DVD.
Oh, did you guys see BSDAnywhere is finally out! http://bsdanywhere.org/

I would so loooove to make a BSD project, even if it were simply single user mode with ntfs-3g and shit like that in it.  I just don't know how. :)
maybe soon, i will....

okay, that's it!

Will the LiveDVD be able to interact with my hard drive (Saving, loading files.) on my vee$tuh machine?
Title: Re: WeakNet Linux - Assistant
Post by: trevelyn on October 20, 2008, 02:05:07 PM
yes, I have a paper on ntfs-3g http://weaknetlabs.com/texts/PDF/ntfs-3g.pdf (http://weaknetlabs.com/texts/PDF/ntfs-3g.pdf)
its a quick read.  Vista has a new way to sort files now, and sometimes even an XP machine cannot interact with a Vista FS.  in fact, it wasn't until like a few weeks ago that OSX couldn't write to NTFS at ALL.  heh, but good ol' GNU...
anyways, your things aren't in C:\Documents /And /Settings\*  It would be like /dev/sd[a-z] that you have to mount with "-o force" if uncleanly mounted before hand.

hrmm, i thought being based off of regular ol' ubuntu that things should be working.  What kind of issues are you having? can you at least boot into single user mode??

give me feedback so we can fix things!

Not a problem with the DVD. I tried it on my work computer and it booted up just fine. I have no use for most of the wi-fi related tools here, but I might still play with it for the appearance. It's a problem with my CD/DVD drive on my laptop, and I forgot that I had the issue - it can read DVDs, but for some reason it won't boot them. I've tried MANY other OS's before, and I completely forgot about the issue before I burned it. Trev, did you include software on the liveCD to re-master the cd? Seems I may just be able to do it that way.

yes, go to system->administration->remastersys

and put in the weaknet passwd. :) to backup a custom install use the "complete system backup including user data" er something like that.
have fun!

um... yeah. I have no problem booting from cd, or reading dvd's. my shit always times out and then hangs indefinitely trying to boot from dvd, though. The computer was free, so it's not like I'm complaining.
