THANKS :nonsense: ;D

The Wal-Marts were packed on Friday. Not too many employees had time to notice me on the phone. I was still paranoid while talking to people though, just waiting for an employee to sneak up from behind. I don't know why I care since all they ever do is tell me to hang up.

Ah Wal-Mart, it's like our version of the drunk girl at the bar every night on Saturday. Too easy. ;D

The guy who approached you at the end, was it a manager or just a general employee?

Just an employee from the hardware department. A really old guy.
This past summer I was in a Wal-Mart in Illinois and a page for a department came in. We just happened to be in an aisle with a phone, so I picked it up and started talking to the customer. An old lady employee came up to me and just stared, so I turned my back to her and kept talking. She left. About 5 minutes later she came back with reinforcements - another old lady. I was off the phone by then but the new old lady told me I couldn't use the phone. I told her I wasn't using the phone and they left.

Only in a...what did that one caller say..oh, a dumb fuck hick town could you get away with that.
See in the North East sector, the Wal-Mart employees are young 20 and 30 somethings who have no real job. So they are stupid in a confuse them with their own logic way, but not in the way I just read with you Brad. :nonsense:

I just added all the new Wal-Mart calls to the Wal-Mart page. There's a few things in there that weren't in the new PLA Radio. And some of the calls from the episode are a bit longer on that page since I cut them down to keep the show shorter. Most importantly, there's a 3rd call from the girl who threatened to blow up the store.

This one was pretty good. Lots of customer rage.

So if you were answering calls like this at Wal-Mart, what would you say? Someone in some comments somewhere came up with something I wish I'd thought of. It went something like this:
Customer: Do you have any Wiis?
Me: No, I'm sorry. I buy those myself as soon as they come in so I can sell them on Ebay at an inflated price. If you'd like I could give you my Ebay user name.
That would surely piss off some people!

I wonder if there is a way of hijacking the intercom and forwarding the phone line to the voice bridge for hours of entertainment.

Where there is a will, there's a way. Where there is a way, there is PLA. And where there is PLA, there is Cactus. And where there is Cactus, hilarity ensures.

Cheers on a great episode, RBCP. The Walmart calls had me chuckling a lot. If I ever find myself in one, I'll have to keep my eyes out for the blue poles and answer some calls myself.

Having just discovered PLA I'm laughing my ass off listening to all the pranks. A question that occurs to me is: How many wal-mart employees named Roy have been fired and/or beat up because of RBCP?
Have wal-mart employees found this site and complained in the past? Or said they like it?

There's lots of employees and ex-employees that visit phonelosers.org/wal-mart and most of them seem to enjoy the content. Except for the AP guys, who say that we're all fools and would never get away with our antics in their store. Nobody has ever emailed me and complained though.

So what of all the poor Roys out there that are bruised and unemployed? You're a bad man!
