Okay, so I'm making a Gameboy Color mod.
I wanted it to be black with red buttons and such :D
But this is my first somewhat mod in my life.
So I want to make it good, but I don't know if I should keep with those colors.
Does anyone know what good colors go together?
If there's no red in the colors you picked, can you also tell me what LED to put in?
:D BTW I'm new here
-
OMG spraypaint HAX
-
I was thinking about doing a black body and red buttons ;D
-
Wait... how exactly is this a mod? Are you just gonna change to colors?
(And just so you know, WHITE is the best color and goes with anything).
(GOLD is second-best).

I said somewhat mod
if I'm gonna be using a different color then red, I'll be changing the LED
plus there's like nothing to do with a Gameboy Color
And this is the first time I "mod" anything, even if it's a paint job My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself.

Starting tomorrow I'll be taking pictures of my Gameboy paint job progress
I might be making a tutorial for it, not sure...
-
I wouldn't exactly call a paint job a mod. There should be some sort of new functionality added that didn't exist before. Maybe you could mod it to hack into the matrix or something

There! I changed it to paint job :D
Bison, you got any colors that would go great together?
So far we have
(Body & Buttons, that order)
Black & Red
White & Gold

pink and purple would be nice *rainbowsmiley* or if you could find some that changes color depending the temperature.

Well I gotta do my sister's one after I'm done mine (mostly because I wanna do it again)
I might do that for her's... The temperature color changing sounds pretty cool
Oh and btw the guest that are looking at this thread make an account?
the more people in a forum, the more fun it is
:D and you can post, see like this and do a bunny or some shit emote :nonsense:

I found a new color I might be using
Shiny White (Silver) & Shiny Gold
Does anyone know how to make the paint shiny and smooth?
Like is there a paint I can put after the first coat to make it smooth?

I know they sell paint to turn surfaces into chalkboards. I guess it would be a mod if you turned your gameboy into a chalkboard.
-
If you used chalk on it you would get chalk dust into every crack on the thing. That might not be so good.
-
That would be funny though...
-
Fill all the cracks with glue.

Fill all the cracks with glue.
Don't be silly; then it wouldn't be able to breathe.

This reminds me of when I painted my brown tone dialer red box red and it was a horrible sticky mess. Can't remember if I used spray paint or model paints.
-
Whatever you do, it won't be as cool as this one.

Wow, I saw one just like that in Nintendo Power when I was a kid. Someone wrote a letter with a picture that looked just like that one from when their house burned down. They said that the buttons and d-pad were fused but the start and select buttons worked perfectly. That picture also showed Tetris on the screen.
