I mean I suppose there's a better solution with an external antenna and what not but that's probably be more then 20 bucks right? Also I'm sure there are mods that one who solder with reasonable skill can do right?

It's awesome to see Ralink release the RT73 chipset on their own card, as I really don't like the DLink card that uses that chipset, or the Buffalo card that uses the RT2750 card. How is the card's signal/antenna strength, though? My DLink has horrible range, and anything with less than 60% signal strength usually means a spotty connection.

Just curious if you got it to work. I seem remember reading somewhere that Atheros chipsets were preferred over the Hermes chipsets for all that fancy wifi crap in Linux.
