I don't have any tattoos and I need one ASAP! I've been considering getting one for the past 20 years, but keep putting it off. Anyone have any suggestions? While I'm against doing anything PLA related (because, you know, PLA is just a silly passing fad and won't last), I still think a cactus would be kind of cool. Like this one:

The one thing I've been obsessed with my entire life is telephones, so maybe just a Bell symbol or an old rotary phone or handset. A pay phone maybe? The tattoo would likely be on my upper arm in the standard tattoo spot. Maybe a heart with "murd0c" written on it? "Spice Girls Forever?" What should I get?

Yeah I've considered the 60's Bell logo. That's a good possibility. I'm sure that'd be cheaper than a multi-colored cactus. If I did the Bell logo, what would look better - black or blue ink?

Get it with the phosphorescent black light ink, that way you'll be 133t when you're at the club all hopped up on ecstacy and techno music.

Y'know, if you do get a mock-up of the Bell logo, you should post it. I wanted to get something done in the same fashion on my shoulder as well. Thing is if you get it first, then I get it and someone else gets it we'll all look like a fraternity of gay.
My other tattoo was going to be a circuit board layout on my back of this old AMD K6 board I have back home; only heavily modified and the such for my own artistic desire. Either way, get the Bell one because it'd be bitching sweet.

Though the idea of the PLA gang ink being pay phones with the PLA log on them is making me laugh ever so slightly. The gang sign would be that thing you do with your pinky and thumb to make a phone. Our gang chant before we strike would be "SORRY BUT YOUR THROAT IS DISCONNECTED. TRY CALLING IN LATER, SUCKERS!"

I asked him how a Bell symbol rated on the weirdness scale for him and he just said that people have come in and done just about every corporate logo or drawing imaginable, so he wasn't too impressed with my weirdness. We had a nonstop conversation about tattoos and the tattoo industry and the limits on what he would tattoo on people. Like he won't do stuff on peoples faces.

What tattoo am I going to get THIS summer? I was thinking XKCD's circuit diagram (https://infosecurity.us/?p=14007) as a full back tattoo. Or maybe a flux capacitor drawing since BTTF is my favorite trilogy. Or maybe a unicorn farting rainbows. Or the Bing logo.
A leg or ankle tattoo is preferable. Some kind of schematic would be good, but a schematic of what? Maybe a schematic that goes around the leg, like those redneck barbed wire tattoos.

I still like my Roy Orbison suggestion from earlier. But if not then how about something like the backside of a printed circuit board around your leg, showing the traces and vias.

I haven't come up with a design but I'd like to get a band tattoo (So it is a unit) incorporating squirrels and the line from Strawberry Fields Forever "No one, I think, is in my tree."
Probably will never actually follow through, though.
