Hi guys.
I was recently relocated from Europe to the USA and I’m looking for a long distance phone company to call my relatives and my friends in Romania and Serbia. Someone told me that Pulse Telecom could be an option. Any reviews for this long distance phone calls provider?
Thanks.
-
Nah, it totally sucks. We just use AT&T. You should as well, comrade.
-
I am with AT&T right now, but I pay 35 cents/min to call Romania and 50 c/min to call Serbia. It's an extortion!!! >:(
By the way, what countries do you call and how about the rates?
-
I recommend just using a VoIP provider for international calling.
Skype (http://www.skype.com/) is about 12 cents per minute for Romania and Serbia.
ZenoFon (http://www.zenofon.com/?40PQD) is just 2 cents for Romania. I don't see Serbia listed on the rates page, though.

I recommend becoming a purse snatcher and using the cell phone you find inside to make your calls for free. Or plugging in your own phone into the grey box on the outside of other people's homes and businesses.

He's in AMERICA now, he doesn't need to be stealing, he needs to be overcharged by our incumbent telecoms. Fool.

Well, any reviews for Pulse Telecom? How is the connection? How low the rates are?
-
:) Pulse Telecom is the best company ever in USA- I use them for Long Distance for 4 years, before I use to use PNG,NET,Primo, but now I am stick with this and I dont belive that I will change them ever- I can update service with them because they are keeping up- to be on top with their services-I use to have them only as a long distance provider on home phone ,after this I took them as a international long distance on my cell (because they can give you the lowest rates so you can call from your home and your cell internationaly)now they introduced me a new service that they have LOCAL and long distance as a boundle, but they dont want me to cancel my exting local provider because with them I still have contract so to avoid cancalation fee I"ll wait and after contract I will take Pulse as a Local plus long distance provider.
Check them on :https://www.pulsetele.com/Main/,or call them I have Serbian number 1-800-218-8173 to find out ,if you are not good with english they have different community, they can help you in many languages.

I am confused as to why the first post for a user is a poorly punctuated lovefest for a company.
MattGSX smells self-promotion?

Not to sound like Skunkworks, but Google Voice has cheap outbound rates for international calling. Romania is .09 a minute to call a landline in Romania and .21 a minute to a mobile. I do not know how that compares to Pulse, but I have compared the rates to other voip calling providers and they are pretty cheap.
-
Well, looks like Pulse may be cheaper. Check out all the fine print.
-
You know, sometimes if a phone service is too cheap it might have a bad connection or something is wrong with it.
That's why I'm asking for a review from customers who use the service.
Thanks, Miliana. I appreciate.
I'll take a look.

Funny how Pandele and miljana have the exact same IP address. What are the odds...

You should edit their posts to make it sound like they're huge AT&T fans.
Then delete this one so I don't ruin it.
-
I dunno if Miljana and Pandelo have the same account or IP cuz I'm not the admin and I don't have access to their private registration, but I can tell you that Pulse Telecom is my long distance provider and I'm happy with it. Low rates, good connection and no hide fees. I recomend this company to all Bosnians to call our country for cheap.
Regards,
Sead Agic.

And by the way, cuz I don't want you to think I advertise Pulse Telecom... my neighbour Florian is Romanian and he uses Blue Tone or B-Tone to call Romania and he stated is even cheaper, but I don't wanna switch yet.
Sead.

I'm totally convinced that you're not affiliated with those two since your IP address is different.

Rebuilding, War torn countries should not be allowed telephone access.

From Ripoff Report (http://www.ripoffreport.com/Telephone-Companies/Pulse-Telecom/pulse-telecom-is-charging-for-a9fcq.htm): Pulse Telecom is charging for dialing a phone number, whether you get to talk, or not. I was charged for $15.89 before Fees, Taxes, and Surcharges. This charge included a charge of $4.98 when I spoke on the phone; the other charges were for dialing a number, and waiting for response. Customer service refused to remove charges, although Customer Service Agreement doesn't include any disclosure pertaining to this practice.

This is great, a Google search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGGL_en___US359&q="pulse+telecom"+forums&aq=f&aql=&aqi=&oq=) shows that this guy is registering on tons of forums under different names, asking the same question about Pulse Telecom. No matter what the response, ANOTHER mysterious guy shows up and makes a single post backing him up, saying that Pulse Telecom is awesome and disagreeing if anyone says positive things about other long distance options.
Whether Pulse Telecom sucks or not, can you really trust a phone company who tries so hard to mislead the public into thinking they're reputable? It's not an affiliate doing it, because there is no money-making affiliate link. Who else could it be, spending all these months making good press for a single phone company? A satisfied customer? I doubt it. Most likely these guys are trying to cover up their bad press in Google with good press.
This one is my favorite (http://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/30/t/000432.html) because they figure it out and post a lot of bad shit about Pulse.
-
personally I use pulse telecom and they are teh shits, d00ds. all my calls are crystal clear and i enjoy good conversations while using their service. everyone i call using pulse telecom seems to like talking to me and we talk for hours and hours. it's hard to hang up because i just can't stand not giving pulse telecom more and more money. sometimes i just say goodbye, and agree with whomever i'm talking to to just set the phone down instead of hanging up, in order to boost pulse telecom's profits. just my completely unbiased 2 cents...the cost of a minute of talk to lithuania through pulse telecom!!

The number for Pulse Telecom now goes to a phone sex hotline.
