Title: Voice calls from Google!

If you're a Gmail user, you'll see a new option in the left side bar to make phone calls.  Free phone calls to anywhere in the U.S. for at least the rest of the year.  Both Caller ID and ANI show my Google Voice number.  It's not as cool and anonymous as Skype, but it's free.  I might end up ditching Skype for this if the quality of the phone calls isn't too bad.

i just found this!  it's great, the phone number shown to the callee is always 706-705-8888 and if you call it back it says something like "this number is not in service".  FABULOUS.   :D

When I call someone from Google Voice, they get my Google Voice phone number.  Is there an option to turn off your caller ID and display that 706 number?

oops, the number is 760-705-8888.  anyway, this number shows because i have not set up a google voice account.  (so i do not have a google phone number yet.)  i've only recently used it and only for calling a certain person in the middle of the night.   :)  also now when i call the number back it says "hi.  the person that called you from this number is using gmail".

This sounds interesting and fun.

BTW, you can me earlier now that my mom is taking her medication again...she falls asleep at 8:30  *rainbowsmiley*
