ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - A 14-year-old girl has been arrested after allegedly making a bomb threat that evacuated Anderson South Side High School.
Police tracked a cell phone call to inside the building to make the apprehension.
After searching records of calls placed from the phone, police confirmed the bogus report was made by the student they were questioning.
Bomb-sniffing dogs found no sign of explosives inside the school.
How is it possible that ANY human on Earth doesn't realize that a direct phone call can be easily traced? Everyone knows this. How could this girl possibly think that calling in a bomb threat wouldn't get traced back to her?

itz a cellfone, its not liek w/ normal fones wear their iz a big string that connex u, da signal goez thru da air n so mebe the signal cant b traced thru the air???
Actually, a guy did the exact same thing in my school a couple years ago. So everyone had to stand outside in the middle of the winter without going to our lockers to get coats and whatnot. But then we were force marched to a church where Walmart and the local grocery store gave us free food. The school, I dunno, pressed *69, and the guy was caught 30 minutes later. I don't remember what became of him, which suggests that he was executed.

Knowing Canada, this is probably true.

What if she use a beige box and clipped it to a grey box at the school? Or beiged the call from an ememies grey box.

They're not called "grey boxes," they're called TNI boxes. A grey box is another phreakin' thing.
Yes, that is definitely a safe way to do it, beyond the unsafeness of beige-boxing in the first place. Doing it from the school's TNI would both be hilarious and dangerous, because what is that kid doing over there?

I seriously doubt it. She is the type of person that doesn't understand how cellular works nor how calls are placed that give her location.
