I've always found lockpicking fascinating, but the legality of it is just something that keeps me from crossing that line...
I wont be making it to Las Vegas though, that shit's expensive. Are you going to post the vid on YT?

It's legal to own picks and pick your own locks in your own home in most places, but you need to be a licensed locksmith to carry picks around in some states. Skytalks doesn't allow cameras, but I can probably get someone to record it. If not, I might be giving the same talk at BSidesLV. CFP is still open.

I always see these lock pick kits being sold through BudK on the cheap, and there is a metal gun-looking pick for car doors they have for maybe 20$...
I should look up "Lockpick legality in Illinois" before I go and buy or try and make anything. Knowing me, I'd have it in my backpack and I'd get rolled by the cops and I'd never hear the end of it....
