Title: PLA Radio Episode #7 - Screwing With Other Podcasts

In this episode, Adam Curry cohosts as RBCP attempts to screw with various Podcast shows, including Mugglecast (http://www.mugglecast.com), JamesPod (http://www.jameswhittingham.com) and Nobody Likes Onions (http://www.nobodylikesonions.com).  This podcast is 25 minutes long and is about 24 megs.

The prank using the Patrick soundboard has got to be the funniest thing I have ever heard. I was in total disbelief the whole time..

My ass has fallen off due to laughter. I can't believe people are fine when you tell them you have signed them up for offers that come in the mail. ;D
Loved the haxor message aswell :D

Best podcast so far, keep it up!

It's the Canadians!  They know no anger!  I really should have tried it on some random people in the U.S. just to see how the reaction differs.  I guess I'm not that good at pissing people off either, though.  I'm better at just being weird and insane.

ASSSSSSSMMMMM! My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself. this thing is the shiz nit! Oh by the way I am canadian and I agree on the not knowing anger. The school behind us always has cars at it (after hours, partying) and the whole neighbourhood lives through it like nothing is wrong. We will just go over there in our huge blue van (looks black in dark) and say "Hey, get outta here! And they leave... So I guess you can say I am a Canadian knows anger...

I'm sure Patrick still has his job.  I just wanted to cause some brief "WTF MATE??" moments for his coworkers.

The song on the end, which I was really addicted to a few weeks ago, is called Re: Your Brains and is by Jonathan Coulton.  Great song.  His URL is jonathancoulton.com (http://www.jonathancoulton.com).  He's got lots of good songs on there, but Re Your Brains is my personal favorite.

I love how Patrick says in those forums, "Like I said before, he didn't win." in reference to RBCP. What exactly was RBCP trying to win? I really don't get Patrick. You can tell he cares, contrary to what he said. I can't wait until the next podcast.

I don't even really care about Patrick's reaction.  My goal was to make a funny little segment for PLA Radio and it worked.  All these posts that Patrick's been making is just a bonus.  It's amusing as hell when someone tries so hard to convince everyone that they don't care.

Apparently it was a big hit with the podcasting community last year.  I can see the appeal of it, I suppose, but to me it sounds like a really bad rock song that you'd find in a really bad 80's movie by a band you've never heard.

I haven't been to this site in awhile as I had looked & listened to all the content long ago and it was getting a little stale since RB "retired" for the most part. But I came back and found PLA radio. These podcasts are great and breathe new life into this place. #7 has to be my fav (of 1-9 which are up at this time). RB, u continue to be friggin hilarious. I vote for more pranks as in this show. It's so fun to hear others get messed with.

Hi, I'm a big fan of the site and the podcast.  While I love all of the episodes, the Pat Melton prank really does stand out as something that will always cheer me up on a bad day.  I was wondering if you could allow us to download the flash program (if it was done in flash, maybe you used something else) that has all the sound clips you used?  Not that I would use it to prank, I just thought it would be fun to have.  There's just something about the obnoxiousness in his voice. 

And secondly, did you make any other calls that day using the Pat soundboard that didn't make the final cut?  Can we hear those?

When I made the calls, I just had a directory of sound files that I clicked on and they played in Winamp.  But after I was done with the Patrick prank I thought it'd be fun to make an actual soundboard and make it available on the site.  Unfortunately I'm a newb at Flash.  I managed to make a soundboard by using another soundboard's source files, but it's a little screwed up, as you'll notice.  Here is it:
