Learn all about phone mobbing by listening to our phone mobs on Love Line, What's Your Bid, Russian Brides, Our Prisoner and a few other radio station call-in shows.  There's also some voicemails, which is always the best part of the show.  This episode premieres the sound clips from the latest NW Bell Phone Mob (http://plamn.afraid.org/).  This podcast is 26 minutes long and is about 24.7 megs.

It's really slow for me too.  I pay for the cheapest web hosting plan on oldpeoplearefunny.com and I dump a lot of sound files on there.  It's probably especially slow right now because the episode is being downloaded by a lot of Ipods automatically.  I just changed it on the RSS feed to help spread it out a little.  And if anyone wants to download it from phonelosers.org, here's the links:

What do you mean?  Did you not make the cut from one of the phone mobs?  I had to cut a ton of stuff from those to keep the episode from being 2 hours long.  Or are you talking about voicemails?  I quit on those just because I didn't feel like making that song any longer.  I'm saving the voicemails for the next episode.

Watch for the new fonemob recording to be going up on PLA-MN in the next few days.

And yes, this was a very l33t episode. Did hear Mike say the call-letters for Dubya See Em Pee once, but that's OK - I don't suppose there's many people out there who listen to PLA Radio just to call the victims and tell them they heard them on a podcast ;)

EDIT: now I've got that stupid Adam Curry-supported podsafe song from Episode 7 stuck in my head. You know the one - "...because I heard it on a PODCAST! Yeah!"

If I remember, the original file that was up for that call was titled (the call sign we all know and love) Auction or it was in the ID3 tags...

Arbie, do you know if the What's Your Bid show is still on the air/remember the number?  I think the magic is gone and a repeat attempt would be futile, but I'd at least like to reminisce with them on-air about it.

I just wanted to go over a few things that were in this episode, because I'm a bitch and I want credit.

Altalp did not work alone on the our prisoner project. She and I as well as a few others, such as HerrKenny, internetdude03, and dan from nigeria all played roles leading to many good laughs and some seriously funny hijinks.

"adam cotkin" thought he was really cool by 'hiring' investigators to track us down. He basically paid someone around $100/hr to reference my email and he found my myspace profile. Adam and I exchanged IM's over aol several times and his banter consisted of quotes from my profile. I'd be looking for something to say too if my vonage account was nailed. Thanks for the 800 number, I didn't want any phone losers to have to pay long distance, and relay is just annoying sometimes.

We all really miss you, Adam.
P.S. We still know.

Also brad didn't even think of mentioning how he keeps trying to add me on myspace and I keep denying him. It's not the pla profile it's his personal sexual predator profile.
