It was only a matter of time.

I wonder why New Cal's never caught on with all the old school users.

He completely abandoned it 2 months after setting it up.  It would still have users if he's just do something with it.

By the way, his main site works if you refresh it after you see the error.  But the forums don't work at all.

At least we have phonelosers.org and the ability to reference old school cals.

Anyone noticed that the spambots are still able to make posts on Cal's forums?  You can see the topics from the main page.

http://www.calscontentkingdom.com/smf/

You can look at the smf portion of the site without his template (broken). The bots have taken over the general forums. Cal should make I-ball a mod!!! And update the smf.

edit: I don't know if I helped or hurted your seo just now but maybe you should get cals admin password, update smf so the spammers can't signup. Then link to your self like crazy and leave the main page broken so only the search engine spiders visit the site.

Geez, Cal's gonna be annoyed with you.  Thanks for the links though!  Cal said he had a PR6 for awhile on that site, though I don't remember ever seeing that.  Now that it's all a zero, I don't think it can do much for SEO.  I'm not really into SEO anyway.  That's a lot of spam on there, though.  It didn't get that much before, did it?  Maybe someone deleted it before I ever saw it.  I haven't heard from Cal in about a month now, so I don't know what's going on over there.

New Cal's is hacked!  Either that or Cal is tricking us:

http://www.calscontentkingdom.com (http://www.calscontentkingdom.com)

The forums still work if you go to http://www.calscontentkingdom.com/smf/ (http://www.calscontentkingdom.com/smf/)

I think the terrorists have started hiring hackers to take down important American web sites like Cal's. Hopefully they'll confuse us for the "other" PLA and leave us alone. fj33r t3h h4x mUzL1mz 4tt4x!

I like how they hotlinked their banner and forgot to fix their .htaccess so it would show. I doubt Cal went to all that trouble as he hasn't even posted in like a year now.

Someone should h4x it back for Cal.  (Not it.)

www.calscontentkingdom.com went down a week or two ago and it hasn't been back since.  Sadly, the old Cal's archive is down too.  No idea what's happened to it or if he plans to bring back the archive, but it might all be gone forever.  The cache of the archives are still in Google, but probably not for very much longer.

I blame myself for this. I told Jammie to call Calimar and tell him about his frontpage being hacked. She called him that day, and it was down by the time I got done with work.  >:(

I have an archive of Old Cal's. It had been working fine, but when I juggled some DNS stuff a month or two ago I never set up an A-record for the vhost it was on.

If anybody cares, I can make it available again.

Please. It's always nice to have a backup of this stuff.

ME TOO!  And make the interface less shitty too!  Oh and make it so we can post to it.

I wish I could, but alas, all I've got is an HTML rendition of it (wget -r). I don't have the database, executables, or any of what would be needed to make it work.

But I might be able to recreate Old Cal's. I can recall installing webapp and ripping off Cal's stylesheets once, just to see what would happen. I suppose it might be possible to do again with what I've got.

So yeah. I'll head on over to /var/named and get this little situation resolved.

-----

EDIT: http://cal.thefatcorp.com/ is where it's at, yo.

I'm too lazy to fix all those absolute links and image references Cal made, so if you want the most fulfilling Cal's experience possible, edit your /etc/hosts (or local equivalent) so that cal.phonelosers.org resolves to 206.146.216.191.

Nice!  It's slow as hell because it keeps trying to access cal.phonelosers.org.  But it's great to have the archive back.  Thanks, nwbell!

Why doesn't someone (RBCP) just call Cal and ask him for the files ???

Because nobody here knows how to use a phone. This site is about $49 jammers, hence "phone losers."
