253-397-1819 is the new bridge number. It's an asterisk box set up by TheN (http://www.afterthetone.org).
Here are a few guidelines for bridge use.
- If you'd like to announce a voice bridge event, use this thread (http://www.phonelosers.com/forums/index.php?topic=770.0).
- When making (or receiving) prank calls, don't threaten people. Don't pretend to be the cops or FBI. Don't mess with emergency services, such as 911, fire departments, etc. Don't make bomb threats to anyone.
- Don't feed the tr0n.

We've had the same bridge number for almost a year now! This just won't do. I'm changing the number again, just to annoy you all. We're back to 641-678-3404 extension 752. That's the number we had before 218.
There is someone on the 218 bridge who silences callers (it's happened to me) and I'm sure is able to collect phone numbers of incoming callers. This has been a problem with a lot of our previous bridges. Someone always figures out a way to get access they shouldn't have. (I remember our old 435 bridge used to call people back after they hung up.) But as far as I know, this has never been an issue on the 413 or the 641. So lets try 641 again for awhile.
When 752 gets flooded out, go to 753, then 754, then 755, etc.

Hi! I tried calling the bridge via 1-800-GOOG-411 the other day asking for "maxwell house, lexington, kentucky" as always and the street had changed. Then an old man answered (not Roy) and told me I had reached the real Maxwell House, a halfway house, not a beverage company. What happened?

The GOOG doesn't work anymore and when it did it went to the 218 bridge. I don't know if you'll even be able to set up a GOOG for that one or not but if someone wanted to they could give it a try. I don't think it'll work though because of the introduction at the beginning. We need another drop in conference. There are some other numbers in the 218 area code that are not in the 339 that are confs but I haven't found any drop ins yet.

is there a special time or night that everybody goes on? cuz each time i get on it seems noone is ever on and typically i stay on for awhile still no activity :-x

The 752 is dead alot but only because you people don't call in. It's still possible to call in with Skype, which is nice and if it's getting flooded you can just move to 753 and up. Or down, whichever. Up is probably where you'll find other people though. There used to be a church group on there somewhere too.

When the GOOG411 thing worked, I use to call into the bridge if for no other reason than to just call into the bridge. Now it just doesn't feel as cool anymore... :-\

How do you guys edit/create on Google Maps, because you have to verify address or phone number? You can't verify the address unless you give your own and you can't verify the phone because of the 752 ext(you can't get the pin to verify).

I called the number in the title and it told me that there was a new number. However, I proceeded to enter the extension and ended up being the first one in the conference. Is there another phone bridge?

I'm lazy so I created a way to dial the conference directly through goog411 by type in the zip code, then let google guess the business name.
In the following number P means pause, eg. most phones have a way to program a two second Pause and Wait until keypress for dialing extensions directly.

the 5 number after the first two pauses is to make goog411 trip up and quickly go into "say just the city and state" mode, whereby the zip is then entered, followed by two pauses, then phonelosers is typed and guessed correctly by goog411. I was able to whittle phonelosers down to phonel. Fewer than that and it guesses cincinnati beluc center?, PLA, cincinnati bell, warsaw wireless, etc....
I wonder if a human watches the user-submitted entries in goog411. Like, could someone submit 'church of christ jesus and the holy cvs drugs scooter store hates f*gs' where someone is searching for a church or drug store and hears that on the list? :o Guess I'll have to wait for that new batch of google voice invitations to get sent.

It was verified via the postcard method by a member of this board. The address is student housing for University of Cincinnati students.

It's a shame that goog411 (and most toll-free numbers except for the support number for the phone company listed on the payphone) are being blocked on payphones.

This is really a moot discussion seeing as how nobody ever actually calls the bridge anyhow.

712-338-8730 just gives me a busy signal every time I call. Nobody calls that bridge because it doesn't work. And nobody wanted to call the 218 number because it was an ANI trap operated by pedos.
But I googled and found a solution: Easyconference.com
It uses the same system as the old bridge: just call 413-251-0222 and dial extension 752.

413-251-0222 sounds like a talkee.com line. 712-338-8730 works fine for me; just no one is ever in 752. 712-338-8720 is another one that works as does -8710, but they're not connected to each other. I think the biggest problem is not finding a working bridge, but finding people to actually call it. No one even floods the bridge anymore. No trolls, no PDXUSA, nothing. You're the first post on the subject in months.

ya.. any time i ever attempted to call the bridge it just happened to be dead and no one was on there.. i am able to get to the 712 bridge.. just not DIRECTLY with google voice... GV has blocked access to a bunch of conference services that are located in rural areas, that charge high termination fees...

my magic jack service expired about a year and a half or more ago.. but i am still able to log into my MJ account and forward my MJ number wherever i want... so whenever i am not able to call a number thru google voice, or whatever, like the voice bridge, i just log into my MJ account and forward that number to where i want to call to, then use GV to call the MJ number... which solves the problem for me, although adding another step...

Call the PLA bridge. IDC. I won't be on there 'cause it's pretty much always empty 'cause that bridge is lame. Seriously, we get a drop in bridge and I'll be on there all the time. I refuse to punch in codes to get to the conference or listen to shitty hold music though.

We really need a new conference number. Calling the PLA bridge and waiting for someone to come on is unbearable with that hold music playing. I've been looking around on Google and I can't find any of those numbers that let you call in and punch in your 3 digit code. Anyone know where to get a list of those?

It's easier to get marks to call in if you have a drop in conference. I might settle for no hold music though.

What if I just use a party line as the bridge? Some of those party lines have cool features, like voicemail, a voice board and private chat rooms. Also, each line has several public chat rooms on it. The downside is that these lines are really popular and we'd have to deal with non-PLA people showing up and hating us for not wanting to phone sex. On the upside, we'd get to fuck with those people. We could just kind of take over an entire number. Maybe even chase off the regulars.

I have the old Loach Talkee number that is now run by Mongolians (no joke). Maybe we should use that one. They can speak English and are quite funny when they are pissed.

Which one? I called 781-452-3183 and it was dead. Dead is good. Call it and press 7 to skip all the disclaimer stuff at the beginning. This would be a good line to take. If you enter an empty conference room, you get nothing but silence. This line has a voice board, voicemail and personals. Personals could be fun!

Well, they have identified themselves as such. I have a couple recordings of the Mongolians, but none that are too funny.

When I call that 413, I get a message saying that the number is 781-452-3313. When I call the 3313 number, it says its not a valid number. The 413 number does get me to the Loche after it tells me to call a different number, though. It's dead, though. When I call the other 781 number that I found (781-452-3183) there are several people in the first 3 rooms.
I think I'm going to go ahead and switch the bridge to your 3313 number. If they disconnect it or whatever, then I'll switch to mine.

The confs used by the conf con people may be better, but I have no idea who runs them. This could be an issue, but they are drop-in confs.
