Title: Destroy a 7-Eleven Promotion
Post by: rbcp on June 29, 2009, 03:04:19 PM
http://www.phonelosers.org/issue/008/ (http://www.phonelosers.org/issue/008/)

Anyone remember that issue of PLA?  The giant list of things to do to a 7-Eleven to make the employee hate their life?  A few weeks ago Spessa and I had the absolutely brilliant idea of filming ourselves doing every item on the list.  So we got as far as doing about 4 items and then quit.  And then we had the absolutely brilliant idea of turning our old idea into a new PLA contest!  You know, encourage a bunch of kids to submit their own 7-Eleven vandalism videos to me to judge so I can hand out prizes to the best one?  And in the process I'll be threatened by cops, parents and corporate 7-eleven people across the country?  I don't know why I never thought of this before.

Really though, this idea has so much good and bad in it.  What does everyone think?  It's an awful idea to encourage minors to destroy their local convenience store in hopes of winning a PLA t-shirt, right?

I don't think you'd be specifically liable for any damages.

Don't you?  Seems like they could get me for something.  Especially for all the unplanned pregnancies it would cause!

Wish you would have posted this a few months ago. I had an ongoing battle with a certain local 7-11 employee and this would have motivated me to up the ante. But sadly they are closed now, and I am unable too locate him.

/I did get him pour out a coke slush mix in the toilet once, but some random person from the bridge has the recording. IF YOU ARE READING THIS CONTACT ME.

Another thing you could do if you worked there would be to:
Pour a lot of gasoline inside of a room that can be locked
At gunpoint, throw the other employees into the room and lock it
When more people come into the store, do the same to them
Unlock the door, throw some flaming matches in the room, and lock the door again
Take the surveillance tapes
Use a gasoline pump to spray gasoline all over the building and the gasoline pumps
Throw another burning match when you are at a safe distance.

If anyone questions you... Blame the statue that got your evil twin high, while he was playing guitar, with his fingertips, while in a spacesuit.

Or unplanned murder in the first degree.

Yes, I know that doesn't make sense.

I like it...
I've been needing an excuse to make another video that only 3 people will watch. :D

BTW: Are you gonna post the video you and Spessa made?

Throw in a PLA sticker if a DEXiple calls in and talks the 7-Eleven employee into doing it.

Yeah I'll post it eventually.  When they visited last week we filmed some more things on the list which were even better than before.  I still want to do a few more before releasing a video.

Can it be a different convenience store? The nearest 7 eleven is at least an hour away. Here local convenience stores ate them all up. Like a giant cookie monster.

Sure.  Most of ours were at other convenience stores too.

All the other videos are still up. Just not the 7-11 one. Maybe you should upload it again with a different (and less-malicious) name, and if you used any copyright material (which I doubt you did but regardless) take that out.

Ha, I bet it was the condoms thing that made someone report me.  I didn't use any copyrighted music or anything.  Maybe because I used the 7-Eleven logo?  Richard Cardo says I can put it on his Photobucket account.  Let's see how long this one lasts.

Hmm. I can't get Photobucket videos play very well for some reason. Does Photobucket have an option to let you download the video?

Someone PMed me about the 7-eleven video, so I thought I'd post their PM here instead of responding privately.

Wow Brad, I just saw the 7/11 mayhem video and wow. Poking holes in condoms... really? Unplanned pregnancies or the need for a girl to get abortion is pretty bad. But this is also opening the up the possibility for people to be exposed to STDs that could mean anything from death to living the rest of your life with an incurable and horrible disease. That's over the line to do to a total stranger. An enemy you deem worthy of something so malicious is one thing, but total strangers? AIDS, Herpes and plenty more...really Brad?

Are you trying to one up Dex for biggest douche bag unfunny pranks? You win. Hands down and by a very long shot.

I don't think you're this out of touch...or are you?

I crushed the box of condoms in my hand and threw it behind the shelf.  There's no way they'll get purchased in the condition I left them.  It's movie magic!  I know I'm still horrible for suggesting such a thing, but I always loved that that particular item on the list pissed off so many people.

Can I win the destroy a 7-11 challenge by making a 3D model of a 7-11 and then making a video of destroying it?

I'm totally gonna do that and win on a technicality.

I think it is worse for people to have sex when they have STDs; I mean, how do you not know if you have an STD?
They knew it was possible to still get pregnant even with a condom, why should they not have to suffer any consequences?
And STDs are far from incurable, fucking dumb ass.

Condoms actually seem to be a terrible terrible thing... I'm not going to go Westborough Baptist Church on you. What I mean is that only rapists really need to use condoms. The main evidence against them dies with the condom.

I was hoping someone would do the thing on the list where you drive your real car through the store, killing the clerk and blowing up the gas pumps.
