The video up there doesn't load, so here's a link to it.

James Brienzo, a man suspected of robbing a Walmart store in Alliance, Oho found himself in a unique and dangerous situation on Wednesday. In an effort to hide from police, Brienzo jumped into a dumpster. But this proved to be incredibly bad timing for Brienzo, because that day was “trash day.” Yep. A trash truck came and emptied that dumpster—Brienzo and all—into its trash compactor.

About 50 minutes later, police dispatchers received a phone call from a man that said that his friend, Brienzo, had just called him from his cell phone inside a trash truck and that he needed help.

Police sped into action. Being inside a trash truck’s compactor can be deadly so they were in a race against time. They called Brienzo on his cell phone and found out which dumpster he had jumped into. Then they used GPS tracking to pinpoint his exact location which, it turns out, was inside a BFI trash truck on N. Walnut Street.

According to WKYC, “The BFI truck was stopped and officers climbed into the trash-compacting truck and found the suspect. After several minutes, officers were still unable to free the suspect from the trash so they decided that the truck would have to be emptied to get him out.”

After dumping the truck, Brienzo, who had been crushed several times, was rushed to the hospital. He is in critical condition.

Too bad they didn't show a picture of him after he got pulled out.

That chapter is still in the PLA book, by the way.  Trevelyn insisted!
