Title: Google Voice not available in my country
Post by: Dean Currie on December 21, 2010, 04:19:55 PM
I don't live in the USA so therefore Google hates me and decided to block me from using their Google Voice service to call US numbers. I would go through a US proxy to setup a new a acount but you still need a US cell phone to validate the acount. So if someone could give me their old Gmail acount or make me a new acount that would me nice.

5. set your ipkall number to forward to your SIP address

I set up a IPKall phone number (253-753-2260) but United States is not supported for Voice Call verification. So I need a free service that gives a temporary SMS number which I don't think exists.

I ran into this problem when I was traveling in India last week. I'm assuming you already have a google voice account, no? Anyway what I did is just get a program to change my IP (fake) to a US IP. Oddly Google only blocked Indian IPs - Nepal worked fine.

Or try this for a new acct: http://mobilerobo.blogspot.com/2011/01/trick-to-use-google-voice-service-from.html
