Sick of all the incredibly boring buttons in the PLA Store (http://www.phonelosers.org/store/buttons/)? Well now's your chance to make them slightly less sucky! Put your creativity to use and make a few buttons for the PLA. If your button is used, you'll get 5 free buttons from the PLA Store (http://www.phonelosers.org/store/buttons/), including the button that you designed.
Not only will this contest allow us to have more buttons in the store, but we can also build a massive list of the contest winners' names and addresses to sell to the authorities. And the winners get free buttons! Everybody wins!

I should also mention that it's a bad idea to save your final designs as JPGs because of the loss in quality. BMP is best if a photo is involved. GIF if you can make it look good in under 256 colors. I've got the huge BMP versions of the templates too. Here they are:

Wow. Some of these sucked, but a suprising number of them really rocked. I didn't know there were any PLAers with Photoshop skills anymore.

Speaking of buttons, I was in science class the other day when I spotted a Chairman Mao button on some girls bag (american eagle shit i think). I asked if she knew who it was. She replied that she didn't know, she just liked the look of it. I muttered if she thought the death of a million was 'cool' or just a statistic, but she didn't hear me or didn't understand. I hate a lot of these kids at our school; teh "phonies". Anyways, If I ever get some money I think I'll get a button, attach it to her bag, and scream that she is a Communist spy and a member of the People's Liberation Army. I can get away with that shit, too.

Here's the latest. PM me for your free buttons.
For future entries, keep in mind...
- Don't resize the image! The small ones are about 260 pixels in diameter and the large ones are about 500. If you shrink it or enlarge it, then I have to size it back again. This results in more work for me and a distorted image.
- The solid line is what I cut out. The dotted line is there to guide you into not making the image disappear off the side of the button. So don't make important things go beyond the dotted line.
- Erase the dotted line. If you don't, then I have to. Otherwise there will be an ugly dotted line around the edge of your button.
- I'm going to stop making every single entry into a button. No offense, and I appreciate the entries, but I'm not going to print anymore that are personal forum jokes or have minimal effort put into them.
- It's best to keep the image as a BMP or a GIF. A JPG always has lots of distortion that shows up on buttons.
- Blue lettering on a turquoise background doesn't work.
