Bluetooth jamming
« on: March 12, 2007, 05:30:09 PM »
Yeah, I want to mess with douchebags.

1. Can anyone point me to a cheap one or a kit in the US? I can't find one for less than $200 and those are in the UK. I don't have an o-scope or a spectrum analyzer and I can't etch pc boards for shit. This is what I am looking to buy/make)

2. Is it possible to jam without interfering with wireless lans and crashing airplanes?

3. How illegal would this be?

:) FCC involvement illegal.  The one i have for cellphones won't jam up any of the cordless phones i've tried it on, and not wifi routers either.  if you want jam routers try a 2.40~1GHz cordless phone (kinda old now) But i do recommend getting it from the UK the shipping is fast and the product is awesome.

might i suggest:
messing with douchebags could also be done by paying $19 for a bluetooth dongle and playing with hcitool's.  don;t forget to acrtivate the "daemon" first hcid  My own mediocre attempt at humor has been highly amusing to myself.. rfcomm tools are also cool to use, do you own a laptop???

I've got a laptop, but I'd do this inside movie theaters and stores. The jammer pictured in the first link would be soooo perfect.
