Beeping Sound
« on: April 05, 2007, 06:21:40 AM »

At my work, all the employees use Meridian phones. The guys that work around me know a pretty neat trick and will not show or tell me how to do it and continue to pretend they don't know what I am talking about. The trick is you can call people on these phones and the person you are calling will receive a loud BEEP sound. I have experimented on trying to make this sound and I can't figure it out.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? If you do, do you know how to do this?

Oh ya, that beep sound. Sure, I know what you're talking about and how to do it.

Yeah you can do that with a "tone dialer" or an old Captain Crunch whistle if you have one (cover up most of the holes).
Do you speak two languages?

Just implement the beep command in your code. For example:

10 rem beep program
20 gosub 40
30 end
40 beep
50 return

Notice the 4 uneccessary lines, that makes the beep louder.
