SMS sending sites
« on: July 12, 2007, 10:37:43 PM »
I've started a small list of sites for sending SMS messages to cell customers from the providers' sites. Not exhaustive by any means, but hope it helps.
T-Mobile:
http://www.t-mobile.com/messaging/

Verizon:
https://www.vtext.com/

Alltel:
http://www.alltel.com/text_messaging/

Sprint:
http://www.messaging.sprintpcs.com/textmessaging/compose

Qwest:
http://www.qwestmp.com/

Just a few to get you started...I'm sure there's plenty out there! Though interestingly, no ATT..
There's a big marble midrise building down the street with an AT&T logo on it; let's have talk with them...

Many providers will let you send out SMS from your email client.

Yep! On Verizon, I know it's (number)@vtext.com etc, but personally it takes all the fun out of it if it's your address in the 'From' field (though of course you could make up email accounts).

Being able to put in a number of your choice is oh so much sweeter...

Use fakemailer or any of the dozen applications that let you spoof the header.
