no no, those "studio headphones" cut the crap, there is added resistance, or no resistance but a monitor.  They are sometimes called Monitor headphones, I use a set of HD280 from Sennheisser all the time when i record my music and still found that it's best to listen with the phone actualy pulled away from my ears about and inch and turned up a bit more for air.  the EQ in the headphones should be "flat" and maybe you can set your levels in XP just go to advanced or veiw options after double clicking the little speaker thing and show all your knobs (may take up the whole scrteen depending on your resolution) and make them all the same height.  that may help you out... as for the song.... it's been stuck IN MY HEAD FOR LIKE 3 DAYS NOW!!!1 I LOVE IT!! Awesome job Brad, great song.
