DTV Rumor

DTV Hidden camera

Basically when most TV stations went digital, A rumor popped saying the converter boxes had a hidden camera and microphone in it.

A guy had a friend tell him about this rumor, so he decided to prove him "right" with a DTV box and an old cell phone.

When I read this, it reminded of the Toaster/Drive-thru radio prank.

Reminds me of this video on taking apart your VCR:

Conspiracy nuts used to think the government could watch you through the picture tube in your TV.
