How dare they steal 17 cacti! Whatever will the desert become now that it has lost that huge number of plants?! The only reasonable thing to do MUST be to embed hundreds of costly computer chips in every single remaining cactus so that this madness will come to an end.

Holy shit. I want to yank a few of those chips out and see what it would take to get it either in an animals stomach via food or tangled in their fur. A wild one of course.

If the thieves are making $1,000 per cactus, it won't be much of a problem for them to buy their own expensive chip scanner, find the chip and remove it.

What's the big deal about cactus theft anyway?  So what if they're in someone's front yard instead of out in the desert?  Quit being so goddamned sentimental, Arizona!
