OCI no longer exists?

I called 1-800-288-2880 to try to collect call a payphone and they didn't answer OCI or WilTel. It was some other name that I can't remember. I asked if they were the OCI operator and they told me they were the name that I can't remember billing operator.

A few weeks ago, I upgraded all my old html pages to WordPress, one of them being my old OCI page.

For those who don't know the awesomeness that was once OCI, you should take a look at that page which was last updated in 1997 to give you an idea of how much fun they once were.

Just for the hell of it, I decided to call the old number and see what happened when I interacted with the operators.  I got hung up on a lot.  For saying pretty much anything at all, they respond with "Thank you for using IOS, have a nice evening." and hang up on me.  They don't get mad and try to outsmart me like the classic OCI operators did.  Maybe I just didn't try hard enough though.

Someday soon I need to put some of my old OCI sound clips up on that page.
