I'm currently reading a book titled
Great True Stories of Crime, Mystery & Crime. It's a bunch of short stories and some have an anecdote at the end of story. One involves Alfred Hitchcock and an elevator.
Alfred Hitchcock, director of movie mystery thrillers, stepped in a New York hotel elevator with a friend and immediately began talking as though continuing a conversation: "So I turned on the light, and there was this girl in of the floor. Her throat was slit and there was a great puddle of blood. Beside the body was a knife. I was in a spot. If I called the police, There's be a nasty row, and if I didn't someone would find me there. So I took out my handkerchief and carefully . . ."
At that point the elevator stopped at Hitchcock's floor and he quietly steep off with his companion, leaving everyone one in the car googly-eyed.

The next time you're in a elevator with someone start the most weirdest bizarre conversation you can muster if there's other people in the car. Time it so you and friend gets off the elevator in mid sentence. Look back to see everyone's reaction. Maybe wave bye and wish them a good day with a shit eating grim on your face.
