Recently, RogueClown and I spent some time going through our email spam for the 419 scammers who have begun including contact phone numbers in their emails. We recorded one of my calls, which you can listen to

Thanks to the familiar British lady on the voicemail of ones who didn't pick up, we figured out that these scammers are pretty much all using Skype with a SkypeIn number. This makes it cheap and easy to set up whatever scammy accounts you need with minimum effort and expense. Luckily enough, I've also got Skype going, and can have fun with them just as cheaply and easily. An entire evening of pranking foreign countries all over the place cost me less than a dollar.
So, if you're bored and looking for an all-too-deserving target to harass, look no further than your own spam folder. You get to have fun pranking some fool, who just so happens to be an actual evil scammer that would otherwise be fleecing some poor sap out of their money.
This may be the only prank call you make that actually
raises your karma levels.
