I bought this radio from a volinteer firefighter that was moving out of the area. It will let you talk to the police and fire department if you on the channel that corasponds with them. Now before you start flamming me... I HAVE NOT F*'ed around with it at all. I have lissened to shit on it but I have not transmitted with it.

What I want to know is, Can I reporgram it for fast food resturant drive thru freq??? If so, How? most of the wirtting on it has worn off due to being used in duty (house/building fires) but it works.

Yes, you can.  Of course it won't work with ALL drive thru systems, but some of the older systems that still use VHF NFM it will work on. 
Look for the ones that use inputs like 154.54.  The corresponding output to 154.54 is 33.4 so you will only be able to listen to the repeater input which means the only signals you'll hear is from the headsets, not from the speaker itself.  You would have to use a scanner if you want to hear the customer at the speaker.  You could use both at the same time.  Here are programming instructions for the radio.  I should mention you can use this radio legally to transmit on MURS frequencies, which is a licence free service like FRS but a lot less crowded, plus some licenced users still use these frequencies...

Still, try the other instructions first, because they don't require you to physically open the radio. Just give this a try if that fails.

thanks for the info. I'll try it. I only gave 10 bucks for it... so if it doesn't work its no big loss. he paid $75.00 for it a year ago.
