iTunes Ping
« on: September 06, 2010, 02:39:34 PM »
Has anyone here tried out the new "social network" on iTunes called Ping?  I just signed up today and have yet to see much point in it.  Seems like it's just going to be used to spam me with music recommendations and concert news.  There's no easy way to search for friends on it.  If anyone wants to add me, my email address is rbcp at phonelosers.org.  You'll be able to make fun of all the girly music I listen to.

That's another thing - Ping claims that my top 10 favorite albums are things like Crazy Frog and Styx and Jason Mraz, just because I happen to have an mp3 by them that I haven't listened to in years.  They don't organize that list by things I actually play on my iPhone.

You're surprised? This is apple. I'm amazed you're not ranting and bitching about it being horribly over-priced while lacking every necessary feature to be functional and user friendly.
