P.O. Box Alternatives

Well I am under the age of 18 and I want to set up a PO box!  Without my parents knowing!  The only probelm is I need to be 18!  Any ideas of how to get a PO box?

Howdy. I'm not sure, but if you have a company in your area like Mailboxes, etc, or something like that, you might be able to get a private mailbox through them, though I don't know about age restrictions.

You could also always get a fake ID. then you can be as old as you want, as long as you look it.

Do you have any friends that are 18 or older?  Maybe you could get them to get a box for you.  Give them an extra $20 for their trouble or something.  Or maybe you could just have certain mail sent to a friend's house.  What are you having sent that you don't want your parents to see?

I actually tried to make a fake id.  Didn't work out that well.  Theres a long story there...

HA HA, RBCP, only lame people have friends.  I'm not trying to get specific things sent to it, but rather I would use it give to buissnesses.  You can never be to careful with that kind of stuff.  I listened to PLA radio episode 2 and 8, and immediatly afterward I called Blockbuster to get my address changed (it took tons of Social Engeneering), to something random.  I then changed my phone number to a voicemail number.  So, I'm just a really paranoid person.

Just tell your parents that you would like to have it instead of the junior’s bank account because you are planning to drop the internet and maintain standard mail/post friends.

Believe me; a father will do anything to get the kid away from the computer.

You can go to your local UPS Store, they're more expensive, but afaik, they don't ID.

Use General Delivery.  It's free and there's no age restriction.  Just look up your local full service post office's address on usps.gov and use that as your address.  Have stuff sent to your name, next line General Delivery, then the post office address, city, state and zip code.  For example:

Joe Smith
General Delivery
1234 Main St.
Anytown, NY  12345-6789

Just go to the counter to pick up your mail.

I have a neighbor across the street that has moved out about 3 months ago, and still hasn't sold thier house. I just realized I could have sent lots of things to their address, unless they forwarded all thier mail (which would be a real bitch If I bought something expensive) Our address 41, also receives all mail from 91 (because there is no 91) usefull when signing up for services/rebates where you can only get 1 per household. Im not sure if we get 100% of the 91 mail though...
