What'd everyone get?  I got cold hard cash.  And a Office Depot give card for $100.

I gave my kids DS Lites and a few DS games.

I asked for money to buy a plane ticket and an electric trimmer for facial hair, as my brother finds it creepy that I use his for the back of my neck. I got both, a package of socks, some gift cards, one of those flashlights powered by shaking them, and a new truck (at 1/100 scale). I also got some liquor, which I'm consuming right now. Good 'ol x-mas cheer.

Thanks to my gift of a camera that I received from a special someone, I now have the chance to take pictures of one of my cooler gifts which my grandfather gave me: an old telephone, made sometime between 1964 and 68. At first it seems like the regular run-of-the-mill old bell phone, but then you take a look at the jack.

I had never seen anything like it before. Thank god for alligator clips. Ringringring!

I used to see that kind of jack on the walls of old houses.  Not too much anymore, but they were somewhat common in the 70's/80's.

One of my friends in Wisconsin sent me a package for christmas.  In the package was a copy of Vista, Rosetta Stone, a DVD with a ton of books on it, a $500 american express gift check from a desperate man nigeria, and a pretty neat little homemade stun weapon.  I have been playing with the stun weapon quite a bit and love it. I took some video of me setting it off.  There is no sound on the video so you cant hear the cool cracking sound it makes, but im sure you will see how neat the device is anyway.

That's basically just a bank of capacitors that hold a charge, then discharge all at once, right?

And oh yes, they do work, I have a few disposable cameras gutted out; always fun to play with when your friends are drunk.

i got noise canceling headphones, a few cds, an xbox 360 and a few CDs
